Parker Konkle is a pianist, coach, and music director based in State College, Pennsylvania. He currently serves as music director for the educational tour of Stone Soup by Joe Illick and Mark Campbell with Opera Saratoga, leading more than 30 performances across the NY capital region.
Parker has collaborated with Holy City Arts and Lyric Opera in Charleston, South Carolina; the University of Cincinnati College–Conservatory of Music Opera d’Arte; Opera Saratoga; the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival; Penn State Opera Theatre; and Bucknell University Vocal Lab. Additionally, he has served as a staff pianist for the George Shirley Vocal Competition at the University of Michigan, the Cincinnati Youth Choir, and has appeared as a featured performer with the Cincinnati Song Initiative.
He currently serves as Lecturer of Collaborative Piano and Vocal Coaching at the Pennsylvania State University School of Music, where he is the Music Director of Penn State Opera.
Parker received his education from the Pennsylvania State University, University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and the Music Academy Lehrer Vocal Institute. His mentors include, Christopher Guzman, Kenneth Griffiths, Donna Loewy, Marie-France Lefebvre, and Sandra Rivers.
